Concerts in the Park


Featuring 19 bands, Concerts in the Park celebrates the very best in Huntsville music.  There's something for everyone, it's family friendly and it's FREE!  Concerts are held on the rear patio of the Huntsville Museum of Art in Big Spring Park, downtown Huntsville. Attendees are encouraged to bring a picnic dinner (local food trucks will be there too), their own seating and dancing shoes. Leashed pets are also welcome.  Concerts begin at 6:30pm.

Summer Camps!


The Whole Backstage Theater announces it's Summer Theatre Camps for this year!  Camp Seven (July 28-August 1) for children 5-9; Camp Crash! on August 4-8 for kids ages 9-15; and Musical Theatre Show-Offs on August 4-8 for ages 10-17.  Each camp costs $130, with a multi-camp and family enrollment discount. The Funny Farm


is coming to Decatur! You are invited on Tuesday, August 26 at 10:00 am. Michael Seal, owner of The Funny Farm in Poplarville, MS, will present a workshop sponsored by the Morgan County Master Gardeners. We will gather at the Morgan County Fairgrounds in the air-conditioned Horticulture Building at 10:00 a.m. In addition to his demonstration, Michael will offer a large variety of Vriesia, guzmania, Neoregelia, Bilbergia, & Aechmea in 4” and 6” pots for sale. He also designs one of a kind arrangements on cypress driftwood for the wall, as mobiles, or table and floor. It will be too hot to be in the garden so put this workshop on your calendar and join us for Michael's cool program!

Gospel & BBQ Summer Blast!


This event will be held on July 26th at Ken Johnston Park at Mountain Gap Road in Huntsville from 10am until 3pm, with BBQ served from 11 until 2pm.  BBQ plates at a requested $10 donation.  There will be gospel singing, music and more, with door prizes drawn every hour!  All proceeds benefit the Huntsville Chapter of the Alabama Council of the Blind.  For tickets or information, contact Jenny at jslux81@gmail.com or call (256) 426-2444.
