As food banks around the country expect greater need this year, Kroger is launching their annual 'Can Hunger' drive in stores nationwide. The "Can Hunger" Drive kicks off on November 17 and runs through December 24, at Kroger locations throughout the area.
In the Huntsville area, all donations received between now and Dec. 24 will benefit the Food Bank of North Alabama and other local Feeding America Food Banks. Customers can purchase $1, $3, and $5 icons at any checkout register - even the self checkouts - in a simple, easy way to make a difference in the lives of hungry households this holiday season.
Lite 96.9's Nate Adams will be out at the Kroger on Mooresmill Road (6070 Mooresmill Road) on Tuesday, November 19 from 4 until 6pm; then on Wednesday, November 27, John Malone will head out to the Kroger on Drake Avenue (2009 Drake Avenue) from 3 until 5pm. Drop by and see them, but most importantly, purchase your $1, $3 or $5 icons to help replenish the Food Bank of North Alabama.
All donations benefit local Feeding America Food Banks or approved non-profit food banks.
