Canned Food Drive

During the month of November, Decatur Utilities is holding an Alabama-Auburn canned food drive to help families in the area. Non-perishable food items can be dropped off at the DU Main Office on Central Parkway during normal business hours and left in the collection bin under your favorite team. It's a fun way to show support and to help those less fortunate.  Donations will be accepted through close of business on November 26.

Kris Kringle's Candlelight Christmas

We are decking the halls, the walls and the stalls! Burritt on the Mountain invites everyone to Kris Kringle's Candlelight Christmas December 5th and 6th 4:30-9 p.m. The star-lit mountain will be mirrored by more than 600 candles, adding to the nostalgic feel of the holidays. Music will be heard throughout the mansion and the park; cider, cookies and tasty figgie pudding will keep us warm. Children will enjoy stringing cranberries and popcorn, making paper punch ornaments, creating handmade cards and icing cookies. Our evening wouldn't be complete without a visit with Kris Kringle. Sitting next to the fire he will be on hand for a chat.
